In Canada, chiropractic education falls under the auspices of The Council of Chiropractic Education (CCE). Chiropractic curriculum at accredited colleges provides students with a thorough understanding of the human structure and function regarding health and disease.
The curriculum must include a minimum of four to five years (no less than 4,500 hours) classroom and clinical programs, including an internship. The curriculum must also be designed and implemented to provide appropriate opportunities for students to become proficient in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills necessary for competent practice of chiropractic.
