preceptorship program

The Preceptorship program provides an opportunity for:

  • chiropractic students to gain patient experience in a clinical setting and develop a clear understanding of the ACAC's regulatory and association requirements
  • ACAC members to pass on experience, keep up-to-date with what is being taught at educational institutions and establish relationships with chiropractic students.
  •

    Qualifications and Limitations

    Application process

There are three components to the Preceptorship application:

    1.
Application form/contract between the ACAC and the student, must include an application fee of $150.

    2. Application/contract between the ACAC and the member in whose clinic the student will serve the preceptorship

    3. Application/contract between the ACAC and the student's college of attendance (must also include a certificate of liability insurance for the student)

All three documents must be completed, signed and sent to the ACAC for the Registrar to approve. The ACAC will inform the chiropractor, student and chiropractic college of the outcome.
