Honouring a Trailblazer: Dr. Judy Forrester

At the Commitment to Care Conference, we proudly presented the Changemaker Award to Dr. Judy Forrester, recognizing her remarkable 47-year career and transformative impact on chiropractic care in Canada.

As owner of Synergea Family Health Centre in Calgary, Dr. Forrester’s influence extends far beyond her clinic. She has been a tireless advocate for patient-centered care, research, and policy, with over 25 years of leadership in provincial and national chiropractic organizations, including her role as Past-Chair of the Canadian Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Forrester has played a pivotal role in integrating chiropractic into primary healthcare, mentoring future leaders, and fostering collaboration across disciplines. Known for her warmth, generosity, and infectious joy, she inspires everyone around her.

Outside of work, Dr. Forrester is an adventurer — a pilot, barrel racer, road-tripper, and proud mother of two. Her legacy will continue to uplift the profession for years to come.
