Canadian Patient Safety Week 2025: A Reflection

As Canadian Patient Safety Week (CPSW) 2025 comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on the powerful conversations, resources, and actions that have shaped this year's campaign. From October 27 to 31, healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and communities across Canada came together under the theme “All Voices for Safer Care” to listen deeply, ask meaningful questions, and take action to make care safer for everyone.

Why We Participated

At the Chiropractic Association of Alberta, our commitment to patient safety is rooted in our belief that chiropractors play a vital role in delivering safe, competent, and trusted care. For the past two years, we've championed patient safety at the national level, engaging with thought leaders, researchers, and regulators to ensure chiropractic care continues to evolve in alignment with best practices.

Patient safety is more than a responsibility, it's a culture. It's about fostering environments where safety is prioritized, conversations are courageous, and every voice is heard.

Looking Ahead

CPSW 2025 reminded us that safer care is everyone's responsibility. Whether you're a provider, patient, caregiver, or community member, your voice matters. As we move forward, let's continue to build on the momentum of this week, celebrating everyday safety acts, sharing stories, and fostering a culture where care is not only competent but compassionate and safe.

Thank you to everyone who participated, shared, and supported this important initiative. Together, we are shaping a safer future for healthcare in Alberta and across Canada.
